The research aims to generate technical and scientific knowledge about the challenges and opportunities within the Carajás Mosaic territory by integrating, within a territorial framework, the scientific research and socioeconomic initiatives already developed in the region. Through this integration, it seeks to identify development opportunities and remaining knowledge gaps, with an emphasis on economic diversification, the sustainability of production systems, and local perceptions of climate change. In addition, it incorporates social and technological innovation approaches as strategies to strengthen territorial resilience and support stakeholder decision-making in areas influenced by Vale’s operations.
