Strengthening the taxonomic knowledge base on bats in areas of interest to the company supports species review, record validation, and taxonomic identification efforts, backed by specialized curation, with the aim of reducing uncertainties and supporting conservation strategies, environmental management, and operational processes. The approach includes the integrative analysis of collected material, with an emphasis on the Carajás region and the Iron Quadrangle of Minas Gerais, the review of specific taxonomic groups, and the description of new species. By refining occurrence lists and consolidating taxonomic information, the work provides technical inputs and contributes to more informed decisions in biodiversity conservation and management.
