Santelmo Selmo Vasconcelos

He has a major in Biological Sciences (2008), a Master's Degree in Genetics (2011) and a Ph.D. in Plant Biology (2015) from the Federal University of Pernambuco, with passages in the Missouri Botanical Garden (Saint Louis, MO, USA) and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Richmond, Surrey, UK). He works mainly in research related to the evolution of plant groups, has experience in Cytogenetics and Cytotaxonomy, Phylogenetic Systematics, and Plant Molecular Biology. Since the post-doctoral degree at Vale Institute of Technology - Sustainable Development (ITV-DS), he has been actively participating in genetic diversity studies of the components of flora and invertebrate fauna of the Brazilian Amazon. He is currently an Assistant Researcher for the research line of Environmental Genomics, assigned to ITV-DS in Belém (PA).
