Eunírio Zanetti Fernandes
He has a major in Geology from the Vale do Rio dos Sinos University (1981), a master's degree in Metallurgical and Mine Engineering at Federal University of Minas Gerais (2003), and a doctorate from Federal University of Minas Gerais (2008). From 1982 to 1990, he worked in the Amazon region as a research and exploration manager, in the States of Mato Grosso, Pará, Amapá and Rondônia, working in the research of gold, cassiterite, tantalite, chromite, and iron (Eluma/Noranda Group and CAEMI Companies). In Minas Gerais, from 1990 to 2013, the work was focused on iron ore by the Companies MBR and Vale S.A., in the mine planning area, working as a manager. His international experience was in Mozambique in the area of coal, acting as a Manager of drilling, dismantling, import of explosives and manufacturing of emulsion explosives. He has experience in the Mine Engineering area, with emphasis on planning and dismantling open-pit mines. He is currently attending a post-doctoral program in IEE at USP, with an estimated conclusion in 2017. He is also attending Business Management at Getúlio Vargas Foundation in Belo Horizonte. He has also worked as a lecturer in Open-Pit Mining - Specialization courses and in the orientation of course completion papers.
