Roberto Dall’Agnol

He graduated in Geology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1972); Doctorate in Petrology with an emphasis on granites at the Paul Sabatier University (Toulouse, France, 1980). He has been a Full Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences since 2002; he is researcher 1A of CNPq; a retired professor at the Federal University of Pará, where he held the position of Dean of Research and Post-graduation from July 2005 to July 2009; he coordinates the National Institute of Science and Technology of Geosciences of the Amazon; is a member of the Granitoid Petrology Group of the Institute of Geosciences of UFPA; is a leader for South America of the IGCP-SIDA project 599 The Early Changing Earth (IUGS-UNESCO, 2011-2014); is a coordinator of the Geosciences Area of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Level Personnel (Jan/2005 to Dec/2010); leader of IGCP-510 project, A-type Granites and related rocks through time (IUGS-UNESCO, 2005-2010). Between 2000 and 2006, he coordinated the Pronex Nucleus, "Magmatism, crustal evolution, and metallogenesis of Carajás and adjacent provinces." He is a representative for the Academic Community in the Management Committee of the Mineral Sector Fund (2006-2010). He is also a Full Member of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). He develops research in petrology and geochemistry of granites and crustal evolution of the Amazonian Craton.

He is currently a Full Researcher and coordinator of the research line "Environmental geology and water resources" of ITV Sustainable Development.
