José Tasso Felix Guimarães

Jose Graduated in Oceanography (2006), a Master's Degree (2008) and Doctorate in Geology (2011) with a Sub-area of Marine Sedimentology/Geology, from the Postgraduate Program in Geology and Geochemistry (PPGG) at the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). In general, he works in the areas of Sedimentology, Stratigraphy, and Geomorphology of transitional continental environments, and mainly in the sub-areas of Paleobotany (Palynology), Paleoecology and Paleoclimatology of Cenozoic (65 Ma up to the present). In addition, he develops work in Geochemistry, Mineralogy, Pedogenesis in soils with Archaeological Dark Earth, besides the impact of Changes in the Use and Coverage of the Amazonian Land in the Amazonian ecosystems. He is a reviewer of international scientific journals, in addition to publications in specialized journals in geosciences, paleobotany, and paleoclimatology.

He is currently an Adjunct Researcher of the research line "Environmental geology and water resources", assigned to ITV Sustainable Development.
