Gustavo Medeiros Freitas
Gustavo holds a major in Control and Automation Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina - UFSC (2006), a Master's Degree (2008) and doctorate (2014) in Electrical Engineering - Control, Automation and Robotics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro - UFRJ. He has worked in laboratories of Systems, Discrete Events and Robotics at UFSC, Cybernetic Biology Department at the University of Bielefeld (Germany), Robotics Laboratory at Cenpes - Petrobras, Simulation and Control Group in Automation and Robotics at UFRJ, and Field Robotics Center - Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University (United States of America). He has experience in automation and robotics applied to environmental monitoring, agriculture, mining, and oil and gas production systems. He is currently an Assistant Researcher at Vale Institute of Technology - Mining.
