(PT) O uso de sistemas de automação para gestão do processo de carga e transporte na mineração: proposta de um modelo para gestão de mina

Author(s): DESOUSA, Marcelo Loli
Summary: The Automation Systems have provided advances in management of mining operations in VALE. The usage of optimization algorithms and of real-time fleet monitoring are efficient in the process of reducing costs and maximizing mining equipment nominal capacity. However, the company has not implemented a standard usage of these systems. Each VALE's mining site has developed projects based on local engineering experience. For this reason, it is not feasyble to exploring better all the system’s resources causing delays of maturing of mining analyst teams to reaching the specialist level. This paper aims to propose a standard model for the management of mining operations through control to prove the efficiency of the deployment of mining dispatching systems. The work shows how the combination of technologies available in the market are applied in mining for management of mining operations. The usage of intelligent mining dispatching systems for decision making, real-time monitoring of mine operations, and statistical analysis of data provide loss reduction and a better control of mine safety, increasing efficiency and productivity.
