On June 20th and 21st, 2016, ITV participated at the Vale Sustainability Academy, in the discipline “Management of natural resources: a challenge for companies, governments and society”.

The first day the event, Prof. Gilberto Jannuzzi of UNICAMP spoke about “The role of integrated planning in the exploitation of natural resources,” with an emphasis on the science of Sustainability.

The second day there were two lectures from ITV researchers. Researcher Vera Fonseca spoke about “The role of biodiversity in the sustainability of natural resources” and Pedro Walfir presented the study case of “The changes on the surface and use of the land and biodiversity: from Carajás mines to the Ilha da Madeira terminal”.
