Winners of the writing contest will visit the Vale Institute of Technology in Belém

Vale and Vale Institute of Technology (ITV), in partnership with the Secretariats of Education of Parauapebas, Marabá and Canãa dos Carajás, held a writing contest with the subject “Mining in our day-to-day”. The winners of the best texts won a trip, totally paid by Vale, to Belém to visit the facilities of ITV.

The initiative is part of the project ‘Vale Conhecer – Program of Visits to the ITV’ started this year with the purpose of contributing for the students of the public school system to learn about the work developed by the Institute, which works through research and teaching for the sustainable development.

Students from the 8th and 9th year regularly enrolled in one of the participating municipal schools, which were from Canaã dos Carajás, Parauapebas, Curionópolis, and Marabá, could apply for the contest. The best texts of each locality were elected by a panel of members of the Municipal Secretariat of Education and special guests.

The three winners of the writing contest promoted by the Vale Institute of Technology (ITV) in partnership with the Secretariats of Education of the Southeast of Pará are the students Ana Clara Vieira Silva (Parauapebas), Joyce Catarina Barros da Cunha (Canaã dos Carajás) and Ayesea Gomes de Sousa (Marabá).
