The ITV libraries aim to provide information that meets the Institute's objectives, both for research and for post-graduate education, by providing the informational material necessary for the development of its activities. Units I and II are located in Belém, Pará, the first works in Vale Institute of Technology's building, and the second in the Ceamazon - Amazon Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency, at the UFPA – Federal University of Pará campus. There is also a library that supports ITV, which is located in Ouro Preto, Minas Gerais.


Sustainable Development - Unit I

It is housed in the ITV building, its collection includes topics related to research lines and to the master's degree course, is formed through procurement and donations of previously analyzed publications.

Sustainable Development - Unit II

Created as a result of a partnership between ITV and UFPA, it is housed in the building of CEAMAZON – Amazon Center of Excellence in Energy Efficiency. This unit has the collections received as donations, it is where the work of content analysis of these collections is carried out.

The ITV's library in Ouro Preto has a wide and comfortable space to study, in order to support researchers, teachers and students of the institute in their consultations and searches of materials required for their activities.

    Registered users may generate lists of sources of information on the required subject.

    In addition to access to online periodicals, visitors can refer to printed copies.

  • Bibliographical standardization

    Master’s degree researchers and students of the ITV can use the standardization of publications and dissertations according to ABNT standards.

  • Acquisition of publications

    The acquisition of materials that compose the library's collection is made in accordance with the demands from ITV’s researchers and faculty.

The Library has a set of guidelines, criteria, and conditions for the management and custody of documentation in accordance with the interests of ITV, as well as basic procedures regarding its operation, use of assets, loans, procurement services and other routine activities.

The library's collection is made up of specific themes related to the ITV's research lines and education activity. In constant growth, the library currently has more than 6,000 volumes between books, periodicals, theses, and reports. The queries to the physical collection have public access; however, the loan is restricted to the registered users in the system and those who have some connection with the ITV.
