Leandro Geraldo Canaan Silveira

He has a Major in Mine Engineering from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2014) and did a sandwich Major in Mine and Energy Engineering at the University of Salamanca, Spain (2014). He has a Master's Degree in Mineral Engineering from the Postgraduate Education Program in Mineral Engineering (PPGEM) at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2017). He participated in activity research in the kinematic analysis of operational slopes in compact itabirite and in the elaboration of didactic material in slope stability. He has experience in the areas of: vibration control in rock dismantling with explosives, geotechnics, geomechanics applied to mining, and mining planning. Has carried out consultancy work in the area of geotechnology applied to mining.


He is currently an Assistant Researcher at Vale Institute of Technology - Mining (ITV-MI) in the Mining area.
