Gian Franco Napa Garcia

He holds a Major in Civil Engineering from the National Engineering University of Lima, Peru (2006), a Master's Degree in Geotechnics in the area of Geosynthetics (2011) and a Ph.D. in Geotechnics in the area of Underground Works (2015) from the School of Engineering of São Carlos (EESC) at the University of São Paulo (USP). He is currently the researcher responsible for the Mining Geomechanics line of the Mining area at Vale Institute of Technology in Ouro Preto-MG. He has experience in the area of Geotechnics and Geomechanics (Civil, Mining, and Oil), with emphasis on Rock Mechanics, mainly working in the following subjects: Quantification of uncertainties, reliability, and risk; and numerical modeling of geotechnical problems. He has 7 full articles published in international journals, 1 book chapter, and 13 full articles in national and international congresses.
