He worked in the Meteorology Division of the Amazon Protection System (SIPAM), Belém Regional Center, as a meteorologist. He is interested in numerical modeling of weather and climate, studies on atmospheric electrical discharges, climate change, and social-climatic vulnerability. At ITV, he is responsible for the GPS project, which aims to investigate the impact of the assimilation of precipitated water data, from GPS receivers in Brazil, related to the quality of precipitation operational forecasts. The project is developed in partnership with CPTEC/INPE. He also actively participates in the Forecast Network Project, contributing to the calibration of the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model for the eastern Amazon, from which he develops weather forecasting products for Vale's operational areas.
He is currently an Assistant Researcher for the research line "Environmental Technology" in ITV Sustainable Development.
