ITV holds Collect Earth seminary
From June, 27th to July, 1st, the ITV unit at Belém hosted the “Introduction to Collect Earth – Open Foris/FAO” course. The Bioma Zona Costeira was the organizer and the event was conducted by professors Rodrigo Nogueira de Vasconcelos (UEFS) and Wilson da Rocha Nascimento Jr. (UFPA).
The program aimed to understand what is Collect Earth, its use, how to evaluate the data, create and use research cards and the evaluation of the MapBiomas card for the Coast Zone.

Collect Earth is a tool that allows for the collection of data using Google Earth. Together with Google Earth, Bing Maps and the Google Earth Engine, users may analyze high-resolution images from satellites for several purposes.
